"Workington's
local history museum"
Left to the people of Workington in 1940 by Helena Thompson, a

building from the late 18th century.
The Museum is split into five permanent galleries - the Costume
Gallery, the Victorian room, the Georgian Room, the Curwen Room
and the Long Gallery.
